Working in Holistic Health since 1992, Shirley McClure is one of the longest-established Shiatsu Practitioners in Ireland. Her Shiatsu, Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy and Indian head Massage treatments are a wonderful way to de-stress and rejuvenate the body. Clients return again and again for the sense of grounded calm, vitality and improved health they experience.

A member of the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA) and a Registered Teacher with the Shiatsu Society of Ireland, Shirley taught for 9 years with the Irish School of Shiatsu on their Practitioner Training Course. She currently teaches for the Shiatsu College Dublin. She is a member of the Accreditation Panel of the Shiatsu Society of Ireland, the Regulatory body which sets educational standards and assesses practitioners and teachers of Shiatsu in Ireland.

The work of Sláinte Pobal is concerned in particular with giving people in areas of disadvantage access to information on complementary approaches to health. This in turn helps individuals to take more control over their lives.

The emphasis is on well-being rather than sickness and ill-health.Sláinte Pobal is highly skilled in designing tailor-made programmes for specific groups' needs. A member of The Sanctuary Ltd. Team of facilitators, Shirley introduces Bodywork and Relaxation Techniques to groups working in the caring professions. The Sanctuary offers a superb city centre garden venue where groups are nourished by supportive team days out. Shirley's programmes at the Sanctuary include half-day or one-day sessions in 'Caring for ourselves', 'Introduction to Indian Head Massage', 'Aromatherapy for Stress Management' and creative writing workshops.
