Shiatsu Foundation Course at The Shiatsu College, Dublin:
The focus is on developing your own sensitivity and understanding of the body,
discovering how imbalances arise and how they can be corrected.
This foundation course provides good grounding in the healing art of Shiatsu for qualified massage therapists
who wish to incorporate new techniques into their practice and for beginners who seek basic skills in Shiatsu
for use amongst family and friends.
It is a complete elementary course in its own right and upon completion and if you are still fascinated by Shiatsu,

Liver 3
Location: on the top of the foot, in the valley between the big toe and the second toe.
Benefits: can relieve foot cramps, headaches, hangovers, allergies, arthritis.
What to do: take a deep breath in, and as you exhale use your thumb to gradually apply relaxed, steady pressure to the point. Hold without any movement for 1-3 minutes. How much pressure you apply depends on how fit you are. It's not supposed to hurt, although some people describe a sensation of 'good pain'. Repeat on the other foot. Do this several times throughout the day.
